This home in Allentown started out with boarded up windows and a neglected, peeling dark blue and black paint job.
Consistent with traditional treatments of Victorian homes, the owners wanted to bring out the home's details with color. They chose light green for the majority of the home with white trim and accent colors in yellow and purple.
Using bright colors and especially colors that contrast, such as purple and yellow, requires restraint along with an understanding of where each color will best do what it's meant to: highlight and accent great architecture rather than compete with it.
